Welcome to The Space

At The Space: All Things Culinary, we believe in the transformative power of food—not just as sustenance, but as the spark that fuels dreams, builds communities, and forges connections. Nestled in Central Oregon, we’ve created more than just a kitchen. We’ve built a stage where culinary artists, entrepreneurs, and dreamers can shine.

With over 30 years of culinary expertise and a passion for innovation, we saw a shift coming in Central Oregon’s food landscape. While consulting with local culinary entrepreneurs, it became clear that the existing commissaries weren’t ready to meet the future’s demands. Now with those commissaries closing, there is a real potential loss of 20%-30% of the beloved food trucks shutting down.

In addition, the evolving demographics, diverse palettes, and economic realities called for more than just kitchen space—they required a hub for recipe research development, and efficiency.

When the owners of the shopping center and Cracker Barrel approached us to re-imagine their closed restaurant, the vision for The Space: All Things Culinary was born. We created a concept that didn’t just adapt to change but embraced it—expanding and enhancing Central Oregon’s culinary culture with a community-driven, forward-thinking space that they didn’t just approve but loved.

NOTE: Depending on the below survey results the plans for each phase can change in part or whole phases are open to be switched.

PHASES

PHASE 1:

A Space Where Dreams Rise

For bakers perfecting their next best-seller, food truck operators crafting the ultimate crowd-pleaser, and caterers curating unforgettable events—we are your partner in success. Our state-of-the-art facilities—that will include childcare—are designed to empower culinary visionaries with the tools they need to thrive, providing access to professional-grade equipment, flexible workspaces, and a supportive community.

By lowering barriers to entry for small food businesses, we are a hub for economic development. Every dish prepared here supports a dream, every recipe perfected fuels local economies, and every event hosted strengthens the ties that bind us together.

PHASE 2:

Confidence Through Creativity

Cooking isn’t just a skill—it’s a form of empowerment. Our hands-on cooking classes welcome participants of all ages, from curious children discovering the joy of baking to adults honing their culinary prowess. Each class is an opportunity to build confidence, spark creativity, and experience the simple joy of creating something with your own two hands.

As we guide aspiring chefs, young and old, through the art of cooking, we’re building more than just meals; we’re building self-belief and lasting memories.

PHASE 3:

A Gathering Place for All

Our venue isn’t just about what happens in the kitchen; it’s about what happens around the table. Weddings, corporate meetings, supper clubs, and special occasions come alive in our versatile event spaces. From intimate gatherings to grand celebrations, we provide the perfect backdrop for cherished memories and meaningful connections.

We believe food has a unique way of bringing people together, and our center is a reflection of that belief. Whether you’re sharing a meal at a wedding or attending a hands-on cooking class, every experience here is designed to foster joy, collaboration, and togetherness.
